Gallaghers Childcare, a purpose-built early childhood centre and kindergarten in Glen Waverly Victoria is called Gallaghers Childcare. The centre is privately owned and caters to 69 children every day, ranging in age from 6 months to 6 years.
Kids on Gallaghers love to learn, explore, and be creative. They also love to have fun! They are passionate about celebrating different cultures, traditional foods, traditional costumes, dances, and other celebrations. Their environment is heavily influenced by food. They can grow their own fruit and vegetables, as well as bake, cook, and participate in master chef classes.
They love to teach children nutrition and how to bake/cook. The class is open to all ages, from infants to kindergarten. The children will be able to participate in baking and cooking. Children will have the opportunity to try the dishes throughout the day. They may be shared with their families at the home.
Kids on Gallaghers believes that children learn best through play. Children are given a wide range of outdoor and indoor experiences. Outdoor play is available in all weather conditions. They encourage children to think about the environment, take chances in their play, and make their own decisions.
All children are supported by staff to be independent and develop friendships. They also help them make their own decisions and treat each other with equality. They offer many opportunities for children to have different experiences and pursue their interests through their program. They believe that every child is different and encourage each child to pursue their passions.
They are passionate about giving back and working with the community. They have hosted numerous fundraisers over the years for charities close to their hearts. They were close to raising $4000 for "The world's greatest shave", which was their biggest fundraiser. They continue to fundraise for other charities such as red nose day and the Good Friday appeal for children's hospitals, Jeans for Genes, and for Australians affected by droughts or bushfires. They express their gratitude to Glen Waverley hospitals and Glen Waverley police station by sending video messages, photos and visiting the centre with officers.
