La Porchetta Glen Waverley

La Porchetta Glen Waverley

First La Porchetta Restaurant was established in 1985, following the purchase of Italian birth Rocky Pantaleo and Felice Nania purchased a shabby pizza restaurant in Melbourne’s Italian centre.

The acclaim for La Porchetta’s pizza and pasta dishes and Italian-inspired menu, along with its atmosphere and value quickly grew and soon it was recognized as an ideal spot to savor delicious food with love and a passion for life.

There are many restaurants in Australia and New Zealand, La Porchetta continues to expand and is an integral part of the culture of the region. The kitchen is the central point for Italian families and restaurants celebrate the feeling of home with tasty food that is prepared using fresh ingredients, and friendly service, great value and a love for family.

In traditional Italian families the most memorable moments are shared around the table for dinner. Italians recognize the magic of mixing the pleasures of conversations and the pleasures of fine drinks and food.

At La Porchetta they try to recreate this incredible experience for their loved ones and their families every meal. It’s not only about food, but a memorable enjoyable experience that draws patrons back.

Traditions enable people to pay homage to their ancestors from the past. The traditions of the family at La Porchetta are reflected in all aspects of their business including the preparation authentic meals and the warm welcome given to each client, and the respect given to their employees.

La Porchetta has always had an emphasis on helping communities in the area. Franchisees are affiliated with local organizations, and all franchises have a lengthy history of donating to charities that help children and families in need.

La Porchetta is proud to be part of the Moira Kelly Foundation for Hope which helps families as well as children and children in Australia in Australia and Overseas.

In the past, La Porchetta CEO Sara Pantaleo was privileged to meeting Human rights advocate from Melbourne Moira Kelly. The meeting took place after Rocky bought tickets to an event that was a fundraiser. At the event, Sara as well as Rocky were deeply touched by the tales of children that Moira helped. Rocky and Felice immediately gave them La Porchetta food at Carlton any time they needed.

It was the start of something extraordinary. La Porchetta held functions for the children who lived on the farm of Moira along with Rocky took them out on adventures by motorcycle. La Porchetta also ran fundraising events that benefit Moira’s charity at their annual conference.
