Parkmore Primary School

Parkmore Primary School

The Parkmore Primary School is a government school that has been around since 1962, when it first opened its doors to students. It may be found in the municipality of Whitehorse, which is found in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. As a result of the school's location in Forest Hill and its proximity to a number of residential neighbourhoods, the vast majority of its pupils come from such areas. In 2012, a brand new school that had been purpose-built opened its doors, and it featured adaptable learning spaces, a kitchen/dining area, a multipurpose room, a visual arts room, and a library. Every classroom at the school has access to outdoor learning areas, and the school is equipped with wide playgrounds and sporting facilities. The school is located in close proximity to a large green belt.

Their children, from Prep all the way up to Year 6, are given a curriculum that is both comprehensive and individualized. The Positive Education Program at Parkmore Primary School is internationally recognized for promoting and harnessing the strengths of character to develop the whole child. This includes academic, physical, emotional, social, cultural, and creative growth. In both 2016 and 2017, Parkmore Primary School was the recipient of the Innovative Schools Award. This was based on the school's commitment to this program. Parkmore Primary School is a vibrant learning community that recognizes the importance of instilling pupils with strong morals and a can-do attitude. Respect, Resilience, Excellence, and Responsibility, as well as Inclusiveness, are the values that serve as the foundation for all of their learning.

The way in which the kids at Parkmore Primary School are educated is brought up to date on a regular basis. The ability to participate in globalization requires a high level of technological capability and intelligence, as well as enhanced interpersonal skills, a large amount of emotional intelligence, resilience, and good literacy and numeracy skills. The teachers in each child's individual learning zone scaffold the child's learning by giving high-quality and specifically targeted education to the students.

The student body and staff at Parkmore Primary School work together quite well. Students, faculty, and parents all collaborate with members of the local community to accomplish their goals. Additionally, this collaboration extends to their Kids Coach Program, which is a mentoring and support program that is offered to students as well as their families. They collaborate with a number of colleges to provide mentoring for students who will soon be entering the teaching profession and to enhance the learning experiences of students through the Deakin Science Program.
