Beacon Street Children’s Centre - A Pinnacle ELC

Beacon Street Children’s Centre - A Pinnacle ELC

Pinnacle is a family-run business, and their philosophy for your child's education is one of guidance and growth.

They provide kids with a fun and encouraging environment where they can study, play, collaborate, and enjoy the freedom of daily new experiences.

In order for children to enjoy new experiences and achieve new milestones each and every day, they are passionate about maximizing their innate desire to explore and learn as well as embracing the development of their own personalities and abilities.

They have more than ten years of experience meeting the increasing demand for high-quality childcare in and around the Vermont South area. They were established in 2007 with Beacon Street Children's Centre.

Every day, they're proud of the new relationships they've formed with hundreds of families to support their children's education. It's an honor to be a part of their engaging educational journey.

The Pinnacle Environment

Both Pinnacle Glen Huntly and Beacon Street Children's Centre have a ton of warm areas for play and learning. In both indoor and outdoor settings, Pinnacle staff members are compassionate and committed to their work with the kids. They also quickly build trusting bonds with both the kids and their parents.

Their Framework

The Victorian Early Years Learning Framework serves as the foundation for Pinnacle's educational initiatives. This includes a three-year-old kindergarten that will begin in 2022, as well as an integrated kindergarten program for their four-year-olds.

Need help with fees?

Families may be eligible for Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate from Centrelink, which will go toward offsetting fees, as this is an authorized Victorian early childhood education and care service.

Educational Programmes

Victorian Early Years Learning Framework

The Victorian Early Years Learning Framework serves as the foundation for each Pinnacle Center's learning program, which combines intentional teaching with child-initiated learning.   This enables teachers to recognize a child's interest and take the whole class on a discovery-based journey.  In the past, children have been motivated to learn by exploring solar system, dinosaurs, dragons, and animation.

Their bprograms also offer free lessons with qualified instructors in dance, music, and sports. At the end of each year, a journal that records each child's learning is given to the family as a souvenir.  The journal serves as an important documentation of your child's journey and enables kids to share with their families all of their Pinnacle experiences. Through an online app called Storypark, which can also be shared with friends or other family members, daily interactions are documented and shared with families.

Purpose-built playspaces

Every Pinnacle Center has specially constructed indoor and outdoor play areas made to engage active minds and burn off endless energy. To keep kids interested and engaged, teachers purposefully switch up the activity stations frequently. They extend their outdoor play areas into the outdoors when the weather and the opportunity allow by taking trips to the neighborhood park.

Community

Each Pinnacle Center aspires to actively participate in and give back to the neighborhood where it is located. They hope to announce a similar arrangement at Pinnacle Glen Huntly soon. Beacon Street has a well-established relationship with Livingston Gardens Aged Care, where the children spend time with the residents on reciprocal fortnightly visits. The kids are also a common sight in their neighborhood, making frequent trips to the shops, library, and post office. By sharing their own culture, background, and skills, families are also encouraged to participate in the program.

Health & Nutrition

Fresh meals are made every day by an on-site chef using a four-week menu that changes.

All dietary requirements are met, and meals tailored specifically for kids with dietary restrictions are prepared.

Every Pinnacle facility is a Sunsmart center, where all kids participating in outdoor activities between September and March are given hats and sunscreen.

Additionally, a regular component of the curriculum is health and nutrition, where students are urged to consider the foods they consume and the value of exercise.
