Jells Park Preschool
Jells Park School has been running since 1972 in the beautiful area in Wheelers Hill.
They currently offer three and four year old programs, with regular schedules and hours to help children establish their routines while within the programs.
The programs are led by experienced and qualified Early Childhood teachers and Co-Educators. The program provides children with a engaging, relaxing, and fun learning program which is guided by children's abilities and interests.
Children learn through being active participants in actual experiences and interactions with their environment as individuals and in groups. In kindergarten, they strive to stimulate youngsters to think about, test ideas or ask questions, and discuss their experience with their classmates.
They encourage children to spend a lot of time in active "free play" both inside and out and to play with small groups and take part in story and singing time. All the time, children's activities are supervised, challenging and guided through the teachers, co-teacher and the team.
The curriculum is governed on the National Early Years Learning Framework as well as the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
Jells Park Preschool offers an amazing learning environment that is extremely well-equipped. The outdoor learning area is spacious and constructed to make learning enjoyable and stimulating. The outdoor area has an excellent enclosed area to use throughout the year.
Jells Park preschool is a neighborhood founded program, managed by a volunteer parent committee. They are blessed having such a generous and active community that believes in the importance and importance of Early Childhood education. This has allowed for more imaginative and natural-based play for kids and has added more variety to their garden. This is the end of the first phase of improvements to the yard, including more shade and climbing equipment as well as trees that will be planted in the near future.
