Knox Hockey Club
The Knox Hockey Club is a dynamic participant in the community of Knox, which is located in the far eastern suburbs of Melbourne, in the state of Victoria, Australia.
They take part in the Hockey Victoria competition, which runs from April to September each year. This competition features separate Indoor and Summer competitions, in addition to championships in which their members take part (for example, the Junior State Championships). Children as young as 5, 6, 7, or 8 can begin playing hockey through a program called Hookin2Hockey, which is an introduction to the sport. The Under 10's, Under 12's, Under 14's, Under 16's, and Under 18's are the age brackets for the junior competitions, which are followed by open age senior men's and women's competitions that range from social to highly competitive, as well as mid-week masters competitions for players who are 45 years old or older.
The club is proud to be known as the "Knox Eagles," and it currently has 5 open age men's teams, 6 open age women's teams, and 6 master's teams. Additionally, the club's junior section currently has 8 teams and is doing very well. They field a large number of teams, with options for players of varying ages and degrees of expertise. There are approximately 350 active members who participate in hockey at Knox Hockey Club, which is divided into men's, women's, master's, and juniors' sections.
They are a club that welcomes all players, regardless of whether they are male, female, new, old, young, or experienced, as long as they have a passion for the game of hockey and a desire to do their best in a welcoming and successful environment.
